Cracked your Pixel screen? Touch responding to ghost taps? Pink or green bands appearing across the display? Always-On Display stopped working after a drop? We do Google Pixel screen repair at our Sterling shop the same day for most models. Premium-quality OLED panels that match the original specs. Under-display fingerprint recalibrated. 30-day warranty. Walk in any day. No appointment.
Pixel uses display technology that differs from iPhone and most other Android phones. Knowing what you have affects both the repair cost and what features need to be preserved.
Google made Pixel all-OLED from the very first model, years before Apple did with iPhone X. OLED means each pixel produces its own light — no backlight needed. Deeper blacks, more vivid color. Samsung Display manufactures most Pixel OLED panels under contract for Google.
Pixel 6 Pro was the first Pixel with LTPO display technology. LTPO allows the screen to vary its refresh rate from 1Hz up to 120Hz, saving significant battery. Every Pixel Pro since carries LTPO. Replacement LTPO panels cost more than standard panels.
iPhone screens are serial-paired to the logic board. Aftermarket screens trigger “Unknown Part” warnings. Pixel does NOT do this. A premium-quality replacement screen works identically to the original — no warning messages, no calibration locks, no feature loss.
Google partnered with iFixit in 2022 to sell genuine Pixel parts directly to consumers and repair shops. Apple actively restricts third-party repair. Google openly supports DIY and third-party repair.
Google’s Always-On Display shows time, notifications, and Now Playing music info on the locked Pixel screen. Replacement screens must support proper black-pixel control or Always-On Display loses functionality.
Pixel 6 introduced an under-display optical fingerprint sensor. Unlike Samsung’s ultrasonic sensor, Pixel’s optical sensor uses a tiny camera to photograph your fingerprint through the screen. Requires recalibration after every screen swap.
Google’s foldable phones use a flexible plastic OLED inner display. The technology is similar to Samsung’s Z Fold but with Google’s own design. Inner display replacement is the most complex screen repair we do.
We repair every Pixel model from Pixel 2 forward. Pixel A-series, Pro models, Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel Fold are all included.
Pixel 2, 2 XL, 3, 3 XL, 3a, 3a XL, 4, 4 XL, 4a, 4a 5G, 5, and 5a. All use OLED panels but without LTPO. Standard 60Hz refresh on most older A-series, 90Hz on Pixel 5. Parts for Pixel 2 are getting thinner each year.
Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a. Pixel 6 Pro introduced LTPO 120Hz and costs more to replace. Pixel 6a screen repair runs $129 to $149 — one of the cheapest Pixel repairs. All three use the under-display optical fingerprint sensor.
Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9a, Pixel 10, 10 Pro. Pro models carry LTPO 120Hz. Standard and A-series use 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz adaptive without LTPO.
Google’s foldables have two screens — an outer cover display and an inner flexible OLED. Either can need repair. Outer cover is a standard repair. Inner flexible display is the most expensive Pixel screen repair we do.

Three factors drive the final price. Your Pixel model. The display technology. And whether other parts also took damage in the same drop.
$89 to $129 across the lineup. Parts are widely available except for the oldest Pixel 2 panels which require special order.
$129 to $189. The Pixel 6a screen repair specifically runs $129 to $149 — one of the cheaper Pixel repairs because the part is widely available.
$169 to $239. Pro models cost more because LTPO panels are more expensive to manufacture and source.
$299 to $399. The highest Pixel screen repair we do. Flexible plastic OLED costs significantly more than glass-covered OLED.
Pixel users have three official paths plus the independent option. Here is the honest comparison.
Google Preferred Care customers pay a deductible for screen damage — that is the cheapest path if you have the coverage. For everyone else, we offer same-day walk-in convenience plus premium-quality OLED panels at a fair price.
Watch for these symptoms. For universal emergency steps after any screen drop, see our cracked phone screen repair page.
The most visible sign. Spider-web cracks usually start at a corner and spread. Get this fixed soon. Cracks let moisture in and can spread further during normal use.
OLED panels show damage as color tints or pixel blooms rather than dead pixels. Pink and green tints after a drop usually mean the OLED layer is bruised or failing. Replacement is needed.
Your Pixel used to show time, notifications, and Now Playing info on the locked screen. After a drop, those stopped appearing. The OLED black-pixel control function is damaged. Screen replacement restores it.
Fingerprint unlock used to work in one second. Now it takes five attempts or refuses entirely. Could be a screen-level digitizer issue, software glitch, or the optical sensor itself. We test all three during the free diagnostic.
Areas of the screen don’t respond to touch, or the phone registers taps you didn’t make. The digitizer layer beneath the OLED is torn. Full screen replacement is needed.
Solid vertical or horizontal lines mean the OLED panel has internal damage at the connector or trace level. Glass-only repair will not fix this. Full panel replacement needed.
A soft crease at the fold is normal on every foldable. A hard, raised line or a line that flickers means the inner display is failing. Bring it in for diagnosis.
Pixel Fold and Pixel 9 Pro Fold need a different approach than slab Pixel phones because the inner display is flexible plastic OLED, not glass-covered OLED.
The flexible plastic OLED panel itself costs significantly more to manufacture than rigid glass OLED. The disassembly requires opening both halves of the phone. Dust trapped during reassembly causes permanent visible marks.
We work on Pixel Fold inner displays at a separate clean bench to minimize dust contamination. The repair takes 3 to 4 hours because both halves of the phone open.
The outer cover display on a Pixel Fold is a regular OLED panel like any other Pixel. Outer cover repair runs $179 to $229 and finishes in 1 to 2 hours.
Most jobs finish in 60 to 90 minutes. LTPO Pro models take a bit longer. Pixel Fold inner display work takes 3 to 4 hours.
We test the OLED for color tints, the touch digitizer for dead spots, the under-display fingerprint sensor, and Always-On Display.
Anti-static mat. Controlled heat to soften the screen adhesive without damaging the OLED below.
Prevents accidental short-circuits during the screen swap.
Heat plate and thin tools to lift the panel without bending the frame.
Matches the original OLED brightness, color profile, and refresh rate (60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz adaptive, or LTPO 1-120Hz).
Done with proper trade tools. Cheap shops skip this step which is why fingerprint unlock breaks at competitors.
Time, notifications, and Now Playing confirmed appearing correctly on the locked screen.
Restores the IP68 water resistance rating on flagship Pixels.
Every corner, every edge, every refresh rate confirmed before you take the phone home.
Premium-quality OLED panels only. If anything fails inside the warranty window, bring it back.
45 to 60 minutes. Done while you wait.
60 to 90 minutes. Done while you wait.
75 to 105 minutes. LTPO calibration adds time.
3 to 4 hours. Both halves opened. Separate clean bench used.
